Wow...! CNN? If you would have told me Omar Cruz would be getting interviewed by CNN 5 years ago, i wouldn't believe you. They wanted to know how a young latin kid from the west side picked up a huge following and a movement striking thousands and making history every step of the way. I don't know when it is going to air but i will keep you guys updated!

Video was shot @ a huge mansion in beverly hills. Lots of known faces like DJ Quik, Kurupt, Problem, Terrance, Skee, plus some very sexy ladies. After a couple shots of Ciroc and Omar's Cameo taken care of, we bounced to QC's 20/20 where omar performed and received a lot of love from fans and supporters. We started memorial day weekend off right... let see what happends next.

Flickz: BYI in Palm Springs Doing A Radio Interview With The Basement!

We headed out to palm springs this past friday to do a radio interview with 92.7's THE BASEMENT. We took over the station and played nothing but ROME produced Omar Cruz records. The grind continues as we are getting ready to go on our radio promo tour for, "To The Top!"

I really haven't found anyone who chops samples like I do. And what I mean by that is I use a wave editor and freebase placement to make sure my samples are always on beat. I think it's more 2010ish, u dig? I never heard of this cat, but this beat is incredible & I guess it didn't make the american gangster album.

Omar Cruz wins the "Jam It or Slam It" contest on Latino 96.3fm!

So let me explain this... Every week night on Latino 96.3fm, David Rolas puts two songs head to head to compete to see who gets Jammed or who gets Slammed. If you win, your song gets played again the next night and goes up against a new record otherwise known as the challenger. Omar went up against a group I have never heard before which was the Champion for winning the night before.

Now the radio station lets the listeners vote by either mobile text messaging or calling the radio station. Last night they announced the winner which was Omar Cruz's new record called, "To the Top ft. Frankie J." Now Omar is the champion and went up against a new challenger last night. We won't know who is the winner till tonite @ 10pm, but hopefully we can go two nights in a row!

I'm sorry for not posting in the last 5 days, just a little bit caught up with stuff but i'm back! Last night we were out in Scorpion's in Hollywood just hanging out with the Interscope Records Fam along with the Power 106 Fam. Shout out to Eric & Syphe, Mando, & i see you Miguel, LOL. WoW! What a cinco de mayo. Well first im excited about the return of BYI-TV for its second season. It's gunna be better, bigger, and you guys get to come on tour with us. It might even be a daily thing! Back to cinco de mayo... FelliFel, Yesi Ortiz, & Omar Cruz premiered Omar's first single called, "To The Top Ft. Frankie J." "To The Top" is one of my favorite records on Omar's Album, produced by one of my good friends Julian Bunetta. The full episode of cinco de mayo will also show later that night when Omar Cruz performed @ Crazy Horse in West Covina. BYI-TV's second season will be even more personal and closer than the first, i'm very excited and I can't wait!

Not only cuz of the spinning studio, but that song is ridiculous playing in the background. "My time will come, yours too..." I feel like that is being said to me directly. I wouldn't be surprised if Kanye ripped on that track... I dont know if I could make tracks in that room cuz I would probably get dizzy.. LOL! Shit like this makes me go into the studio and work my ass off.. Kanye is the man (No Homo).
