Flicks: Omar Cruz Performs @ Los Padrinos Juvenile Hall!

How crazy is it, when you walk inside a Juvenile hall detention center, and every kid knows exactly who you are. It was a great feeling, they showed Omar alot of love and even knew the words to all his songs.

Los Padrinos Juvenile Hall hosted their first annual PEACE RALLY yesterday afternoon with alot of performances with Omar Cruz being the headliner. The kids enjoyed themselves as Omar rocked the stage performing "I Hang with My Dogs" & "To The Top!" This show was one of my favorites! We have performed in different citys and venues, but to see the reaction of the kids and the hope in their eyes, I would do it again in a heartbeat.

Omar closed his show with some inspiring words that hopefully can touch some of the kids and help them keep there heads up and focus on their lives.

Yesterday was my debut as Omar Cruz's TOUR/PROMO DJ. Everyone already knows i'm his music producer and produced over 90% of his mixtapes and album, but I don't think many people know that i'm his tour dj as well. Yesterday we rocked a crowd of hundreds at the new @ 2 pre-powerhouse concert show. Other performers included Problem, LMFAO, FM, as SLIMM from 112. I started the 10 min. set with a california classic, "California Love" which then led into Omar's new single "To The Top."

Thanks to alot of fans that showed their love and make sure to look for us in a city near you!

El Salvador overturned their 1-0 loss to Panama in the first leg with a 3-1 win at their much-feared Cuscatlan Stadium in San Salvador. Eliseo Quintanilla scored twice in a comeback win and Luis Anaya sealed the deal in the 87th minute. The 3-2 aggregate victory sees the Salvadorans through at the expense of Panama, 2005 CONCACAF Gold Cup runners-up and the fifth-ranked team in the region.

The whole B.Y.I Family showed up for support along with other friends and celebrities. The whole Joker Brand is immediate family to us so we were happy to celebrate their success along with them. The store is located on Los Angeles & 6th street; right in the heart of Downtown L.A.

This is one of the first records Omar & I recorded back in 2004 for the City of Gods street album. It's funny because when Lulu had put Omar & I in the studio we weren't clicking at all. He didnt like my beats, i wasnt digging his style, but for some reason we worked out our differences and created a sound which has reached thousands and lead to a movement that now in 2008 is unstoppable.

They wanted to know how a young latin kid from the west side picked up a huge following and a movement striking thousands and making history every step of the way. I don't know when it is going to air but i will keep you guys updated!

I really haven't found anyone who chops samples like I do. And what I mean by that is I use a wave editor and freebase placement to make sure my samples are always on beat. I think it's more 2010ish, u dig? I never heard of this cat, but this beat is incredible & I guess it didn't make the american gangster album.

Omar Cruz wins the "Jam It or Slam It" contest on Latino 96.3fm!

So let me explain this... Every week night on Latino 96.3fm, David Rolas puts two songs head to head to compete to see who gets Jammed or who gets Slammed. If you win, your song gets played again the next night and goes up against a new record otherwise known as the challenger. Omar went up against a group I have never heard before which was the Champion for winning the night before.

Now the radio station lets the listeners vote by either mobile text messaging or calling the radio station. Last night they announced the winner which was Omar Cruz's new record called, "To the Top ft. Frankie J." Now Omar is the champion and went up against a new challenger last night. We won't know who is the winner till tonite @ 10pm, but hopefully we can go two nights in a row!
